Effective Tuesday, February 16, 2021

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has been put back into the Yellow Protect Zone. This means we will be permitted to have 50 people indoors and maximum of 10 people in any single class with passive screening. This means we are reopening the studio this Tuesday, February 16, 2021!

What about masks?

Our teachers will all be wearing masks while at the studio.

The following information is from the Public Health Website:

“Expectations for children:

• All children in grades 4 and above are required to wear a non-medical mask or face covering while inside a child care setting, including in hallways.

• All younger children (grade 3 and below) are encouraged but not required to wear a non-medical mask or face covering while inside a child care setting, including in hallways. 14 •

• Masks are not recommended for children under the age of two.

• See information about the use of masks on the provincial COVID-19 website.”

Billing

Billing will resume Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

If you registered at the beginning of this season, but wish to opt-out of returning to dance this Tuesday, please let us know here:

If you do not let us know by clicking this opt-out button and submitting the form, we will assume that you are returning to dance on Tuesday and you will be charged for your classes moving forward. This is a different link than the survey we posted last week, so if you will not be returning, please click the button above to avoid any future charges.

What about competitions?

If you are comfortable returning to the dance studio, but you are not comfortable attending in-person competitions in the city, fear not! We have not yet made a decision if anyone from our studio will be attending competitions (if they are permitted to run) so do not worry about your dance class experience being affected if you want to dance but do not want to attend competitions this season. We want our dancers to come back and have fun and enjoy dance without any added stress!

Showcase

We are going to be putting together a Virtual Competitive Showcase AND a Virtual Year-End Showcase this season and we will plan for in-person events next season.

We are so excited to have you back!

If you watched our video that we posted last week (you can watch it here) Miss Ashley talks about the importance of dance in a child’s life. The social and physical part of dance is so important to your child’s mental health. Dance teaches respect, responsibility, perseverance, work ethic, teamwork and many other life skills that are crucial to have in the world we live in today.
