Notes from Dance Canada:

For events taking place after March 1, 2022, the following process will be in place:

  1. Proof of Vaccination will not be required and capacity limits will be lifted.

  1. Audiences – Masks must be worn at all times while in the building. Passive screening will be in effect (posted signs about symptoms, travel outside Canada, etc.) No food or drink permitted.

  1. Participants – Masks must be worn at all times including the backstage areas – masks are NOT required while performing on stage. Please bring a zip lock bag to store your mask while you are performing. There will be a designated area for each studio to store their masks while backstage. Passive screening in effect at stage door entrance.

Please be respectful and considerate of everyone’s comfort level as those measures that have been in place to protect against Covid-19 are now removed. Even though capacity limits will be lifted, we still need to be mindful and careful of the numbers of parents/audience members that attend the competition to prevent overcrowding.

***NOTE FROM BLUE MOUNTAIN: as of March 1, it is no longer required to show proof of vaccination to enter conference and meeting spaces as well as Blue Mountain owned dining establishments. I’m sure the independently owned Village restaurants will follow suit as well, but it is up to each individual establishment if they want to participate in the Vax Passport program. The Blue Mountain website will be updated with more information in the coming days, however, this link is a great reference and one that I would recommend sending out to all your parents that will be attending the dance competition: What to Expect: Winter 21/22 (bluemountain.ca)

Spray Tans

Miss Taylor is offering spray tans for those interested on Wednesday March 30th (right before Dance Canada) at the studio! These tans are organic and completely safe for all of our dancers (yes even the mini’s). We highly encourage this especially for our older dancers! They will be $30 which is a $20 discount from their original price. If you would like to book one or have questions, please text Miss Taylor.

Earrings

Miss Chloe will be ordering earrings for the competitive team dancers that need them. Please let Miss Chloe know if you need earrings or need new ones, and if your dancer’s ears are pierced or not.

Costume Care

Please bring multiple garment bags to the competitive showcase in order to bring your costumes home safety. Please take extra good care of your costumes, we want you and your costumes to look amazing on stage! Ensure your costumes are hanging up at all times aside from transportation and the zipper of your garment bag is open to allow for airflow in between competitions.
